Becoming
I No Longer Rush Every Question Towards an Answer
The direction has not changed; I have simply put the calendar down for a while.
I used to write time as a series of questions:
When will I arrive? Have I fallen behind? Where, exactly, is the result?
I cannot say when this began to change. Many things still have no answer, but they no longer make me anxious.
I still look forward to what lies far away. I simply no longer keep asking when it will arrive.
The direction has not changed. I have only put the calendar down for a while.
Some answers do not need to be known in advance. If I keep moving, they will slowly become part of the life that has already happened.
