Fliggy App Competitive Analysis
A structured comparison of domestic OTA products and international references across user tasks, information architecture, and commercial hand-off.
- Context
- Product internship assignment
- Role
- Competitor research, analytical framework, and report synthesis
- Scope
- Domestic OTAs · International product references
The study compares Fliggy with Ctrip, Tongcheng, Qunar, and Meituan, using Klook, Booking.com, and Airbnb as international references.
Method
Rather than converting the work into a subjective scorecard, the report moves through market context, strategic position, user journey, information architecture, AI, membership, and business model.
Judgements follow a fact–interpretation–action structure wherever possible: establish what can be confirmed through public material or interface evidence, explain what it may mean, then identify the implication for Fliggy.
Main observation
Fliggy is already a mature full-service OTA. The more interesting growth space is not simply adding more entry points. It lies in moving AI from content recommendation towards task assistance, while improving the connections between outbound travel, local experiences, and direct brand membership.
Outcome and boundary
The final report was compressed to 14 pages, preserving the central comparisons and action directions while removing an unsupported long-term roadmap and overconfident claims.
The study relies mainly on public information and desk research. It did not complete every competitor journey under identical device and task conditions, so its observations are not presented as a full usability benchmark.
